Standard Clean or Deep Clean? How to Choose
At Luxora Clean, a standard clean is $40 per hour with a 2.5 hour minimum, so it starts at $100, and it keeps a home that is already in good shape looking sharp. A deep clean is $45 per hour with a 3 hour minimum, so it starts at $135, and it resets a home that has gone without regular cleaning for a while.

Which one your home needs
Pick a standard clean if your home is already maintained and you want it kept that way. Pick a deep clean if it has been months since the last proper clean, if you are hosting, if you just moved in, or if you keep noticing the same grime in the same corners.
The two services are not competitors. A deep clean is usually the starting point, and a standard clean is what keeps the result. Most new Luxora clients book the deep clean first and then move to a recurring schedule.
There is a third option people ask about, the move-out clean. That is a different job on an empty home, priced at $50 per hour with a 6 hour minimum.
One more difference is worth knowing. A standard clean can be repeated indefinitely. A deep clean is a reset, and repeating it every month is unnecessary work on a home that is already maintained.
What a standard clean covers
- All rooms dusted and vacuumed
- Kitchen counters and appliance exteriors
- Bathrooms fully sanitized
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
- Surfaces wiped and disinfected
- Trash removed and bins lined
A standard clean is what most people mean by regular cleaning. It keeps a home that is already in good shape looking that way, and it is designed to be repeated every week, every two weeks or every month.
Notice what is missing from that list. Baseboards, light fixtures, window sills, tracks, blinds and grout are not part of a standard clean. That is not an oversight. It is exactly what separates the two services and keeps the recurring price low.
What a deep clean adds
- Baseboards and light fixtures
- Window sills, tracks and blinds
- A detailed grout and tile scrub
- Behind and under all furniture
A deep clean covers everything a standard clean does and then reaches the places a regular visit skips. It takes longer because the work is slower and more detailed, which is why the hourly rate is $5 higher and the minimum is 3 hours rather than 2.5.
Add-ons can be attached to either service. Inside the oven and inside the fridge are $30 each, and pantry or closet organizing is $45.
How to choose
Choose a standard clean if
The home is already in good shape, you have had it cleaned in the last month or two, and you mainly want the everyday surfaces, floors and bathrooms kept on top of.
Choose a deep clean if
It has been months or longer, you are hosting guests, you just moved in, or you can see the build-up yourself on baseboards, blinds and grout.
Choose both if
The most common path is a one-time deep clean to reset the house, then a recurring standard clean to keep it there. It costs less over a year than repeated deep cleans.
Consider a move-out clean if
The home will be empty. A move-out clean is the deepest of the three and covers appliances inside, cabinets and closets, and walls.
If you are still unsure, describe the home honestly: the size, how many bathrooms, when it was last cleaned properly, and whether there are pets. That is enough for a straight recommendation and a real quote.
One cleaner, one standard
Every recurring Luxora client gets the same cleaner in the same time slot, so the standard does not drift from one visit to the next. Sandy is the owner and the only cleaner, which means there are no rotating crews and no re-learning your home.
That consistency is part of why the standard clean stays fast. A home that is cleaned on the same rhythm by the same person does not build up the way a home cleaned occasionally by different people does.
The products stay the same too. Eco-friendly, non-toxic and pet-safe products are used on every visit, which matters in a home with kids or animals in it.
